Experiencing menopausal symptoms after receiving treatment for cancer is very common.

Unsplash menopause image.jpgIt's also common to believe that that these symptoms have to be tolerated and that to seek help in dealing with them isn't possible. This is not the case.

The information on this page is designed to provide support in navigating through this challenging time.

Your GP and/or your Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will often be able to help and point you in the right direction, and if appropriate, they can refer you to the specialist menopause services available on the NHS.

My Wellbeing Space is an online resource designed BY patients and carers, FOR patients and carers, in the Northern Cancer Alliance area, which covers the North East and Cumbria. However, much of the information available through My Wellbeing Space is relevant to anyone who are looking for help with cancer and symptoms of the menopause.

You may also find the links and video below helpful. They include information on topics such as diet; exercise and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which is acknowledged as a way to reduce menopausal symptoms.
