More about us

The West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance oversees the delivery of pan transformation, seeking to achieve better patient experience, earlier diagnosis, and improved care across the whole cancer pathway.

Our guiding purpose is to bring local partners together to deliver better cancer outcomes. This affects what we do, how we think, and how we operate.

Our work programmes span improving patient and carer experience; reducing inequalities; harnessing clinical networks and delivering innovation and new models of care.

We are proud to be part of the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), sitting in the Clinical and Professional Directorate. As a dynamic and deeply embedded NHS transformation programme, our shared ambitions for cancer are reflected in our ICB priorities.

We know that we have much to do given that four in ten cancers are avoidable and that significant inequalities persist in terms of care and outcomes.
