Cancer Alliance Clinical Director Roles

West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance is seeking Clinical Directors for the following Cancer Optimal Pathway Groups:

  • Haematology
  • Skin

The Alliance is recruiting a Clinical Director for each of the above groups to provide clinical leadership and direction and achieve the best possible outcomes and experience for patients with cancer in West Yorkshire and Harrogate. Applicants will have the interest, drive and credibility to be clinical leaders by way of demonstrable clinical excellence; experience of delivering improvements and ability to engage the support of colleagues.

Cancer Alliance Project Lead - Healthy Communities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated person to join the WYH Cancer Alliance to lead the delivery of an Alliance wide project to maximise the uptake of health improvement programmes to improve health outcomes.

As Healthy Communities Project Manager, you will work as part of the Cancer Alliance Team and be responsible for proactively developing and delivering multiple projects within the Healthy Communities Programme to time, cost and quality criteria.

Projects will include reducing variation in health outcomes, through raising awareness of signs and symptoms, developing links with emerging Primary Care Networks, supporting secondary prevention, maximising the uptake of cancer screening and health improvement programmes and helping people to live well following a diagnosis of cancer.

You will need to meet a range of stakeholder requirements, prioritising evidence based interventions and local population need in order to improve health outcomes, with a focus on inequalities and reduce variation across West Yorkshire and Harrogate.

Full time. Two year fixed term contract/secondment. Salary: £37,570 to £43,772 (Band 7). Closing date 4th March 2020.
